Fun with a Shopping Cart

Up until now, we've always either had a sleeping Mason in his car seat at the store, used the stroller in the mall, or I've used my fantastic Ergo carrier. I decided a few days ago that Mason was missing an important life experience - riding in a shopping cart.

Here he is, hanging on for dear life. He couldn't decide if looking around or hanging on with all his might is more important.

After we walked around for a bit, he relaxed.

And then, because he heard it was tasty from his friend Eliot, he decided to taste his cart. My phone doesn't take good action shot pictures.

Ugh tasting the shopping cart. I bought a shopping cart cover, which has worked out great (although I've only used it a couple times... Munckin's not that great at sitting yet, ha!) everywhere except Target, but only because their carts are too big.

I *love* riding in the shopping - except when Daddy stops to long. I rattle the handle bar to make him go! Also, I like tasting the carts, too, which makes Mommy CRAZY. Sometimes I pretend to turn around and look at the items in the back, but I'm actually gnawing on the cart...

Ha! Yummy bacteria laced carts. I love that in the first photo he looks like why yes, I have conquered this cart and now it is mine! Eliot appreciates the shout-out. :) Although he was sadly foiled in his most recent shopping trip by the new cart cover. Much less interesting to lick.
