Visit to the Children's Museum
On Sunday, Mason, Auntie Sarah, and I made our way to the local children's museum (Well, as local as an hour away is - yay living in the sticks!)
I had a master plan that involved leaving the house right in time for Mason's morning nap and having him sleep all the way there and it worked like a charm! He was out cold before we even got two miles down the road. He woke up when we got to the museum and was ready to go.
Most of the museum is still too old for him (lots of imagination play with fake banks, stores, construction zones, etc) but we still managed to have a good time! Where else would he get to ponder a future career in constructions?
The first thing we let him interact with (which probably wasn't the best idea in hindsight) was the entire downstairs was all water tables!! He was JUST an inch too short to actually reach the water when standing up on his own, so I held him a lot, which worked out okay because he was more interested in sucking on the floating balls than splashing. Babies! LOL
After a while, we decided to head up to Tot Town and Mason refused to let his two yellow floaty balls stay downstairs. I voted "take them with" as oppose to "let them ruin the day" so you'll notice they never were far away after that....
When we got upstairs, he decided it was time to ride a horse.
He wasn't too sure when I put him down on his own, so I took one of his balls away from him and threw it out of his reach and he crawled after and and then he was off. Perfect!
I don't know if it's his helmet or if he's just a little charmer, but he sure attracted a crowd of little girls. They were all probably around 3 years old, but they just wanted to sit next to him or follow him around. It was pretty cute.
