Trip to the Children's Museum
Remember last winter when we went to the Children's Museum? Mason was too little for just about everything but the toddler area and we spent most of our time there hoping he didn't fall down the stairs and watching him play with wooden potatoes.
Well, SuperDad and I took him the other weekend and it was a totally different experience! Even though it was super busy there (apparently 2:00 on a Sunday is not a great time to go....) he was able to play in nearly every area.
He had a great time bringing us food from the shelves at the grocery store. He went to the bank and played the matching game that was in the vault (okay, so he mainly just liked watching the lights light up when he hit a button, but who could blame him)
He worked in the construction zone and made bricks go up the conveyor belt and crawled through the digestives system with me. (Thank goodness I was behind him because another kid jumped on top of him....) Unfortunately most places in the museum required flash on the camera, which we didn't bring.
And playing in the water world
Legos kept his attention for 3.4 seconds....
But mostly, he wanted to drive this car. He even tried to humor the kids who wanted to do a drive-up bank transaction with him, even though usually that meant him saying "No!" and shoving the tube back through at them. LOL
Since the museum is an hour away, we made a day of it and an early dinner at Famous Dave's afterward, where Mason had fun flirting with the waitress. We have a Groupon pass for the museum, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more pictures soon since we have to go back 3 more times before May! Yay!
