Winter Outdoor Play
I've been avoiding the great outdoors ever since the the temps dropped below 40 degrees, but on Sunday, I couldn't ignore Mason's cries of "'Side?? 'Side??" or let him throw bring me my shoes at me one more time. I've been using the fact that he only has one pair of snowboots and they are kept at daycare as yet another excuse to not go outside, but with temps in the mid-30s and dry clear roads, it was time to go run off some energy.
I bundled him up in his snowsuit and let him loose.
He quickly saw his truck parked in the garage (of course!) and demanded we play with it. We probably put on a mile or more of me pushing the truck up and down the street and then up and down the driveway while he steered and honked the horn.
Then, we ran down the street some more.
I then encouraged him to play in the snow, only because last year's snow play ended in him wanting to go inside and I was hoping for the same effect this year. (It's so much easier when it's their idea!)

Look at those frozen little cheeks!
Finally, I had to drag him inside, where he did this for half an hour and refused to let me take off his snowsuit.
I think we'll be going outside again soon!
