I grew up in a plain cereal home - none of those chocolate covered rings or those sugary cereals that turn your bowl into a rainbow of colors. Thus? I grew up eating Cheerios and Kix.

To be honest, in the past few years, I'd forgotten all about Kix, so when MomSpark offered me the chance to do a review and giveaway, I jumped at it since I remembered just loving them as a kid!

I am happy to report that years later, I still find Kix to be yummy and their new Honey Kix? What a great change to an old favorite! SuperDad, having never had Kix, also approved (and he did grow up on colorful chocolaty cereals!)

And Mason? Well, he apparently loves Kix too! They were just perfect size for his little baby hands to pick up and gumming them to death wasn't a problem. Best of all? I didn't feel like I was feeding him a bunch of crap!

Since you all know that I can't cook, we're definitely cereal eaters at my house. I don't have the time, patience, or know how to throw down bacon, eggs, and french toast in the morning. I forsee a LOT of bowls of cereal in Mason's future! But, according to research, that's not a bad thing!

The two boxes of cereal weren't all that came with our Kix kit. Nope, we also got an awesome take along snack container (already perfect for Mason at this age - we can store munchies for the road or even just a few servings to sit near his high chair!), a sippy cup, a super cool HUGE 24 piece floor puzzle, and some counting flash cards. My little man is too young for the super cool stuff right now, but I can't wait until we can put the large floor puzzle together - it looks like a lot of fun!
